Julie J. Sprengel serves as President of Dignity Health California, a member of CommonSpirit Health, where she provides mission-driven leadership for one of the nation’s largest integrated healthcare networks. Spanning 650 miles from Mt. Shasta to San Bernardino, the region encompasses 28 acute care hospitals and over 250 ambulatory sites, including physician clinics, surgery centers, and home health agencies.

Ms. Sprengel leads a dedicated workforce of 45,000 employees and 15,000 physicians, overseeing a one-billion-dollar annual commitment to community benefit and charity care. With over two decades of healthcare expertise, her leadership philosophy is rooted in the belief that clinical excellence and patient safety are sustained by a culture that prioritizes employee and provider well-being. As the 2026 Board Chair for the California Hospital Association, Ms. Sprengel is actively shaping healthcare to be more inclusive, sustainable, and accessible.
