Kerry L. Heinrich became President and CEO of Adventist Health in 2022, bringing more than two decades of service to the organization’s mission and culture. He leads an integrated, faith-based health system serving the West Coast and Hawaii.

His tenure has been defined by disciplined recovery and reinvestment. Since early 2022, Adventist Health has delivered a $1 billion financial turnaround and its strongest operational performance since the pre-pandemic period, ending 2025 with positive EBIDA.

He has kept the system’s largest-ever investment, the transition to Epic, on time and on budget, while maturing a network model organized around geography, expertise, and shared accountability for faster, more connected care.

Above all, he leads from the mission: expanding access, protecting care close to home, and proving that a clearly held purpose can drive sound financial decisions across a $7.5 billion system.
