Title: Controller
This position reports to the CEO. This position is full time salary/exempt.
Responsibilities:
Establishes, or recommends to management, major corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies for company.
Recommends modifications to existing corporate programs based on current market analysis, programs financial performance.
Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
Coordinate and participate in preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
Provides management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.
Arranges for and coordinates audits of company's accounts.
Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
Establishes relations with banks and other financial institutions.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises and manages finance staff including Assistant Controller, AP Coordinator and Staff Accountant who are responsible for payroll and accounts payable, oversees organizational accounts receivable, manages billing and receivables for our MSSP, Adult Day Health Care and ADP’s as it relates to financial management including cost accounting and salary allocation for grants and projects.

Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Business or Finance preferably with Masters Degree in Business Administration. At least 7 years experience in General Accounting with at least three years at senior accountant level. Experience in nonprofit organization, fund accounting and grant management highly desirable. Certified Public Account or equivalent desirable but not required
