PROGRAM COORDINATOR, CALIFORNIA HEALTH INNOVATION CENTER

Under the general direction of the Program Administrator, the Program Coordinator will perform a wide range of professional duties to support and expand the CHIC resource center of the California Evidence Based Initiative. Duties include grant and report writing and building relationships with current and new partners to expand program accessibility to older adults. Duties also include leading evidence-based workshops in the community, scheduling workshops, recruiting lay leaders and participants, ensuring timely submission of evaluation materials and maintaining lay leader registry. This is a full time exempt position.

Qualificiations:

  • Master's degree from an accredited university
  • Background and experience equal to at least three years in community development,
    gerontology, and/or other professional disciplines related to health and human services. This experience must have included responsibility for coordinating programs/projects and development of new project initiatives
  • Highly motivated with minimal supervision and enthusiastic about working in a team environment to improve the lives of older adults
  • Strong presentation skills to promote/market evidence based programs to prospective organizations
  • Prior participation in collaborative groups and projects
  • Strong follow up skills
  • Strong computer skills including Excel and Power Point
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
