PROGRAM MANAGER, CALIFORNIA HEALTH INNOVATION CENTER

Under the general direction of the Program Administrator, the Program Manager will perform a wide range of professional duties to support and expand the California Health Innovation Center and its California Evidence Based Initiative programs. Duties include grant and report writing and building relationships with prospective organizations and developing work plans with current and new partners to expand program accessibility to older adults. This is a full time exempt position.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited university in social work, gerontology, public health or related field. Background and experience equal at least four years in community development, gerontology, and/or other professional disciplines related to health and human services. This experience must have included responsibility for coordinating programs/projects and development of new project initiatives.
  • Highly motivated with minimal supervision and enthusiastic about working in a team environment to improve the lives of older adults.
  • Strong presentation skills to promote/market evidence based programs to prospective organizations.
  • Prior participation in collaborative groups and projects. Strong follow up skills. Strong computer skills including Excel and Power Point. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
